Whilst using a BDA TV player, it failed to work reporting "Invalid Class", on further investigation, I found an invalid entry in the "ActiveMovie Filter Categories" Classes, which when fixed resolves the BDA software problem.
The reg entry in question is:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{DA4E3DA0-D07D-11d0-BD50-00A0C911CE86}\Instance\{07dad660L-22f1-11d1-a9f4-00c04fbbde8f}] "FriendlyName"="WDM Streaming VBI Codec" "CLSID"="{07dad660L-22f1-11d1-a9f4-00c04fbbde8f}"
It seems to have the letter "L" in the CLSID!

Invalid 'ActiveMovie Filter Catagories' Class reg entry
The right people are aware of this and will take care of this.
Thanks for the report, -Zach -- Windows Media Development Team (speaking for myself only) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. --
